Born in 1980 in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1999 Nikola Borissov moved to Milan, Italy, where he graduated in political science and International Economics. In 2006 he abandoned the world of finance and banking in order to pursue a career in fashion and advertising photography. Nikola is a regular contributor to various international editions of magazines like Numéro, Harper’s Bazaar, L'Officiel, ELLE, Marie Claire, MadameFigaro, Tatler, GQ, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, etc. He has also collaborated with branches in different countries of Ogilvy & Mather, DDB, Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, etc. Without having a fixed base city Nikola has been living on the road since 2009; currently, he divides his time mostly between Milan, Barcelona and Cape Town and anywhere in between. In his personal work, he keeps alive his initial passion for reportage and street photography.
